Voltage Optimisation
Voltage Optimisation
Voltage optimisation is an energy efficiency technology that reduces and optimises incoming grid voltage across a site, delivering a substantial improvement in energy efficiency that reduces both costs and associated carbon emissions. Most UK sites are supplied with an overvoltage from National Grid, averaging 242V. As this is substantially higher than the 220V that most equipment is designed to run optimally at, this results in both a significant increase in wasted energy and increased wear and tear on equipment, increasing maintenance and replacement costs.
Voltage optimisation monitors conditions incoming voltage to an optimal level for equipment across a site, resulting in:
- Lower energy costs, saving around 10% of total energy costs for a typical business
- Reduced carbon emissions, improving sustainability and actively contributing to carbon reduction targets
- Reduced wear and tear on equipment, prolonging lifespans and reducing the cost and disruption associated with repairs and replacements
- Remote monitoring to give a business better oversight of how their site is using energy and the savings that voltage optimisation is generating in real time
VOEV offer fully managed voltage optimisation installation projects across a range of sectors and with multiple technology partners. We provide initial site surveys as well as a full installation service, as well as specification, maintenance, monitoring and optimisation when required. Each project is provided with a dedicated project manager and we deliver technology from partners that include a full 15-year warranty as standard.
